I just recently found out that my EVO 4G somehow was updated with the latest software yesterday (3/7/12) My root and wireless tether no longer works. Is there anyway to re root my phone and get my wireless tehtering back?

i would think reflashing root would work if it doesn't find the new root for the upgrade is your best bet right. and for a future idea OTA voodoo
is a app on the android market will let you keep your root if you have OTA updates.

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
to make sure that nothing is wrong lets check what your hboot is. power off the phone (make sure that fastboot is disabled, settings>apps>uncheck fastboot) now press and hold power+vol down. this will take you to the bootloader. please report back with the info. we are looking to see if you have s-on or s-off and also what your hboot and baseband is. all of this is on the top screen.
