Root Root and CWM Recovery for ZTE Concord 2

What I did was RM hangouts* and rebooted. But it was still there. Thing is, in app info, instead of disable, it said uninstall.
 
YES! YES AND MORE YES! THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THIS ROOT! I CAN FINALLY BE AT PEACE WITH THIS PHONE! I do have 1 question though, because of the ROM's write protection, how will this affect the full functionality of root apps?

Ok, so I also have 4 of these phones. Very disappointed that google decided to lock down moving apps to the sd card. So I specifically wanted root to enable that ability. But I think that not having R/W access makes all the methods I've seen not work, as I'm pretty sure they're all just (re)writing config files.

sdfix - allows apps to write to ext sd card, so I think this would allow app2sd (appmgrlll) to work again...

Found a very long video that talks about using [HIGH]adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2[/HIGH] to set the install location for future apps to the sd card, where 2=external 0=internal

Any help or ideas?

I have multiple of these phones and I would love to get Reverse USB Tethering (make the phone use Internet from the computer) working on these. My wifi signal is pretty poor and I'd like to get a wired connection for multiple of these (hence the Reverse USB Tethering).

Anyone have any ideas on how to achieve this?

The day after this was announced, got an OTA update... Bc of the timing, I have not installed the update... Anybody know if that is the reason for the OTA "update"??? Anyways, my primary question is this regarding the OS used to in the actual routing process... Is it possible for me to utilize my MZ600 instead of a Windows computer to root my ZTE730??? Very excited about FINALLY being able to root my phone! Can't wait to work through it and figure it out... Thank you so much for everybody's hard work! :-)

Hmm, I have not installed the update either, did not know about it.

Not sure if they would be able to push out an update for this that quick though.

I have been trying to figure out how to do this all day. Had to learn hands on on how to install drivers and what not. Now I clicked the app on my PC and managed to get cwm on my phone.. But rootchecker says phone isn't rooted and I don't have superu installed. Please help.. When cwm came on my phone the first time to install root it said something about not being able to find superu

are you sure you do not have a yellow icon in your app drawer that says Super SU ?

if not

can you try to run the script again

watch the phone closely, and tell me what it does

I had the same thing, I was dealing for couple of hours until I edited the script and added the "pause" at the end of it, then I could see that the script was telling me that couldn't find a file with the .sh extension and that this caused the device not to be found and with this I figured it was a driver or something missing so I went ahead and installed ADB, Fastboot and Google driver and right after that i ran the script again and it worked PERFECTLY, I hope this helps to anyone with the same problem as us, IDK if its OK to post the link to the xda thread I downloaded all adb, fastboot and driver I was missing if it is Ill post it gladly.

I wanted to let you know that I never register for anything but I just did to Phandroid just to say huge THANK YOU to HRoark13 and ShabbyPenguin and all others for your help effort and time everything is working fine and I feel awesome to have another rooted phone, very first one with service tho :), and play around with my apps, anyways THANKS

I know that people like to lurk and not join and such, but it is really not that hard to spend 5 minute to register and say thank you
 
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong I went to cwm by holding down the power button and pressing volume up but I'm not sure what to do

if you have an sd card in, take it out and try again
 
Ready thank you very much! but I have a small problem and I can not delete the factory apps, I have root access according to root checker and SuperSU installed, but I can not delete with ES file explorer and titanium backup.

By the way, do not know if there will be any cyanogen rom for now that this phone rooted?,I created a post to draw attention to it.
