If there was a easy way to root 2.2.1 we wouldnt have to do this

Yes, and I'm scared of bricking my phone so I'm not sure I'm going to do it.

But hasnt it been tested to work?
Not at all. In fact, now you won't need to use the guide.
(Yes, the guide is the way to have root with 2.2 - no, there is no simpler way at this time)

It has...and I'm sure it does. I'm just scared. I use my phone for work every day and can't afford to brick it and would be lost without it. lol
