Root [ROOT] Flashable Odin tar

I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!
So my phone keeps showing a phone connected to a computer with a yellow triangle in the middle with a exclamation point!
and I keep trying to reset but it keeps taking me back to the 'Warning!!!' page.
i did everything correct and idk what to do now ;/
Please help?
ALSO: I put on USB debug & unmounted my SD card before doing this process!!!

That is usually from using Odin multiple times. The yellow exclamations triangle is what I refer to as the snitch. Its basically there to tell your service provider that you root, installed clockworkmod or any custom rom. Other than that its harmless

Huh? I think what's he's trying to say is his phone is stuck in download mode.

Good point. He said he did everything correctly, so I assumed he didn't repartition. I didn't know exactly what the phone does when repartitioned, I just know it breaks it lol.

Were you stuck at the download screen too when you repartitioned mike?
 
Booting only led to a blank screen with the back light on ... but Odin popped up right away... booting from Odin led back to Odin, I think...

repartitioning wipes out the phone, formatting all the partitions and recreating them from downlaod mode up. i grabbed some of the missing files but apparently it wasnt set up properly? im going to talk to k0nane if he can assit me and well hopefully have the uberfixit workin shortly :)
 
Thank you everyone who was involved in this root! took about 2 min all together. I had never rooted before this, so was a lil worried. But worked perfectly! I do have a question though. Root was perfect! but it seem metro pcs blocked my hotspot. i can still tether with PDAnet. but i live in the boondocks! and cant get real internet. so i depended on my hotspot to run World of Warcraft. and i cant get pdanet to work it. i can browse the web no problems. but cant connect to wow to play. soooo any advice or ways to get around the metro block would be great! if its even possible. as soon as i got my phone rooted i installed droidVPN. and the .ko app for it. but apparently the Samsung Attain is not on their list yet for compadibility. so if there is any other app out there or anything i could personally do to bypass metros block. please let me know =)

So, I figured out my problem.
I didn't have the Samsung drivers installed, which is why ODIN kept saying fail and my phone was stuck.
I installed the dirvers and then it worked.

Search market for wifi tether, many apps for root users.
 
O i have.. i was using SVTP hotspot for about a month with no problems at all. Then just stopped working one night. I got in touch with the developer and went through several troubleshootings. the only thing he could think of was that metro pcs blocked it on their end. Ive tried several other hotspot apps from the store. The only one i can use is PDAnet and only through Tether. which is great for surfing the web. but if there is anyway. id like to get my old hotspot working again. the tether wont let me connect to WoW =-(

Omg mike.. I have to admit I did not. I forgot all about it. I just warrantied my phone out, so I lost my texts.

As for hotspots.....

I used the 4g mobile hotspot via shortcuts/activities/settings/4gmobile hotspot just five seconds ago to wifi tether my tablet to my phone, worked just fine....

But I don't tether to PC.

Hey pal I've run into the same problem. Metro has blocked my tethering but if you have PDA net there should be a way around it. With your phone connected, go to the pdanet iconin your system tray and right click>settings>hide tether usage>level 1. This works for so I can play SWTOR. What this does is basicially hides the fact that the connection is being made through a computer and tricks metro into thinking all the network requests are coming from the phone. I hope this helps you.
 
Havocx23, ya i do use pdanet with the hide tether opp. and as far as internet browsing goes its perfect. i can surf all day no problems at all. never drops or anything. unless i get a text lol. but other than that perfect. but as for playing wow. for some reason it doesnt connect to the servers. or anything blizzard related. tried wc3.d2.sc2. and wow. apperently PDAnet doesnt have the correct ports open tun run blizzard games. granted i have the free version. do you? soo basicly is there no other way around the metro block? i can surf the net all day using pdanet. Or i can use a hotspot app for wireless. but i can only surf the web in firefox and only by using the change user agent to andriod.
This sux really bad!!! its not like i want to go through all this. were i live its either sattelite or dial up.. and both are terrible!!!!!!!!!!!! my hotspot was working flawless. but my wife racked up about 10g's worth of downloads in about a week.. i assume that set a flag off and they blocked me. now i have to use all these other shortcuts to surf the web. but i dont want to surf the web =P i want to play wow again =( any other suggestions. ive searched google for hours and hours and hours. and tried at least 20 different things. im 99.999999999999% sure its a metro block. its nothing wrong with my end. is there no way to get my hotspot working 100% again?
 
Back in the day I used to tether with my HTC Eris with PDA net to play wow. I was in NC for a few months and my uncle only had dial up. I actually paid for it, however I can't remember now if I ever tried playing before I purchased my license. Its still the paid version even after 3 years so i consider it a good investment. But I know the free version blocks secure sites and maybe will block blizzard on the free version. I stopped playing wow so there's no way I could test it for ya sorry. But as far as the hotspot goes... well mine doesn't work either. Lol and I have done hours of searching to find a way around it too. Luckily for me the hotspot still works with Xbox live so I can still stream my Netflix :)

Oh just thought of something I have SC2 I'll see if I can get on with PDAnet
 
That would be awesome if you could check that out for me. its been a lil over a week since my hotspot stopped connecting to wow. Every since then ive had to use all these shortcuts to browse. but like i said. i dont want to browse the web. i want to play wow =-) and if metro blocked something. id like to know if the paid version of pdanet would get around that block. if u can play SC2 on ur paid version of pdanet. then i will buy it and see if it connects to WoW. A small excerpt from metro's terms and conditions :

Allowing tethering on the MetroPCS network would potentially exceed MetroPCS
