Root Root for Fierce 2?

A patch was immediately sent out by Google once he was hired. That site is irrelevant

Kernels were updated after June/July 2014.
True, Google must not really care about they're past android versions anymore. And just asking, how do u know a patch was sent out?

It's well known information. All the major phones Samsung/htc/lg got the patch (kernel update)

Isn't there someone else that has similar skills in rooting phones that are really hard to root? Because i know there's someone out there that can help us.

I think that last fw update just reinforced by decision to go with the ALCATEL ONETOUCH IDOL™ 3. This phone is buggier now w/ last update. sometimes the drop down bar is missing the quick settings shortcut; the GPS takes longer to lock now; I'm sure there are a few others.

Octa-Core 615
2GB Ram, 16GB internal flash
1080p (401 PPI)
MicroSD
LTE
$200 unlocked

Yes please!

Alcatel's Idol 3 is their first flagship phone, i saw the specs, and it does look like its worth the price, but i dont think im gonna get it. Never buying another alcatel phone, goin with the Nexus 5 or 6. Anyways, Chainfire didnt respond yet, i would crack this thing myself, but hell i have no time, btw @lexm havent heard from u in a while hows it going?

I harbor no animosity against Alcatel, i rather like this 7040n and to tell you the truth, the simplicity in only installing apps I truly only need on phone (side effect of 4GB Flash + KK with ART), then everything else (games, big apps, etc) on LG v500 kinda works for me. I'm really looking forward to the Idol 3, esp for $199.99 out the door.
^^ go with Nexus 6
Yeah, I'm gonna spend more than 3x as much money for similar specs locked to 64GB. LMFAO. I mean... I can afford a $700 (or $7000 really) with out batting an eye brow, but I don't give a hoot about Google updates so goog can take their overpriced nexus and shove it. ;)

Do whatever you want. Just know that this phone won't get rooted

screw it I'm going to just build my own rom.

I'll update you guys once I'm finished. Hopefully I don't screw things up.

Honestly wouldn't try it. I've googled the site and saw a droid turbo had a 3k bounty to root and this site had a video of rooting a droid turbo.

Could be a malware site considering the name and how it backs up your data to begin with.
