Root Root G2 to run on AT&T?

Hello,

I am currently have an iPhone 4 but love Android and would like to have an Android device but the only good Android on AT&T is the Aria but it is small and doesn't have Froyo so I was wondering if you could root a G2 to run on AT&T? If so can some one provide a link to instructions or just tell me? Thank you for your help and time!

From past experiences between both carriers, you should just be able to drop an AT&T SIM card in to the G2 and everything should work fine, no rooting or custom ROMs should be required. I haven't tried with an Android phone but I can't imagine it's much different, as both T-Mobile and AT&T are GSM. I guess just call up AT&T and tell them you are interested in using a non-AT&T phone and ask them what cell frequencies they use, and compare it with this page:

T-Mobile G2 - Full phone specifications

As long as the GSM frequencies match up there should be no issues.
