Root root help please

Hi, I've downloaded superuser & the android root directory, then when I try to use run.bat, I get the following "no applications can perform this action". Does anyone have any ideas that might help? :confused:
 
Hey bigmongo. What device do you have? Did you root your device or just install super user from the play store? If so, super user can't do anything unless the phone is rooted.
 
As Brian says, the key is to know which you have. Rooting techniques are device specific, so we need this to give the best advice.
 
Sorry guys, I'm trying to root the Admire SCH-R720, android version 2.3.4, Baeband version S:R720.06 x.EH02, Kernel version 2.6.35.7. I hope that's everything to help. I'm trying to root the phone.
 
whichever OS you are running on your computer (windows or linux/mac) try using both the download links for the appropriate OS. then make sure you have debug mode enabled in the settings applications. then connect it to the computer and click the run.bat file

youll end up getting a bunch of stuff such as: segmentation fault etc etc
after its over you should be rooted though
