Can someone tell me what the difference, or what ROM, FLASH.KERNEL and ROOT is?

I'm not totally computer dumb, But I just don't know the terminology

OK, I did read the Newbee's guide to rooting a phone, But I'm still a little confused with the terminology.


I need to put the MetroPCS camera file back on the phone. It seems that it did get corrupted when I tried to root the phone..
So what program and installer would I use to reinstall the stock camera app.?

you can use any file explorer that has root abiltiy. I like and use root explorer, but its not free.
