Root Root lg motion 4g (no computer needed)

the f3/f6 jb updates do the same. I worked around that by flashing the ver b aboot on the F3 and think pressy4pie did the same on the F6. ;)

I'm using the latest aboot on the f6 and I was able to root.

Hmmm. So how would I get the aboot if I can't get into the system??

That would be the link I gave you in this thread which installs the previous version of your aboot/bootloader so you can install 4.4 with root. You can't get the aboot without root.

I see what y'all mean. That process is fricken ridiculous. I guess I was hoping that there would be a more straight forward method. I'll just have to live without root til the G3 comes out (assuming it doesn't have the same issue). Thanks for the information guys!

my saferroot app needs internet access and write permissions too.

my apps downloads the saferoot.zip only tho, only changes to it were to edit it to run from the device vs from a pc. Saferoot's src (posted on xda) as well as my app's src(on github) are readily available online tho.
does saferoot work on the lg motion?

(make sure to have unknown sources checked)

Open the apk and click on the green botton "root" once it begins loading click root for a second time and you should be asked to allow superuser access, click allow.

Your phone will reboot automatically
After it boots up, you should be rooted :)

(Recommended)

After you root your phone
You probably want to get rid of those annoying Chinese symbols that pop up everytime you allow superuser access[/SIZE]

To get rid of the superuser that came with this root method

download superSU from play store and update the su binary
It should then, ask to uninstall other superuser apps that may cause conflict
Click uninstall
Success
And you should be fully rooted
