OH its not a Theme.. I just had adw installed and I changed the background color :-) iTs somewhere in its setting I don't remember don't have adw at the moment
 
Hey suhel, can I do the same thing as deleting the stock apps in 2.1? And do you mind listing out what are the app most likely delete. And is there any harm of doing so ?

I havent updated my phone yet and so I havent done rooting yet..

stock apps I've deleted are roadsync & all the 4games
rest of the applications are quite useful and i would not advise you to delete any application atleast any google application..

anyways if you use titanium backup u can always get them back

and if worse you havent backed up

you can connect your phone to pc and use pc companion to repair your phone as simple as that
 
Alright, do let me know once you updated to 2.1 and let me know how the thing work kay ?

And also do you encounter any WiFi problem ? Like disconnecting it own or so.
 
So, have to wait for newer version only can root?

Anyway, how's the performance in every aspect after updated to 2.1?

performance wise i dun c any significant improvement, but it does gives a better than the previous 1.6..

i hope they come out with the root for x8 fast..
 
guys do you know how to disable screen unlock? does your writing message on keyboard also has underline?
 
You may download No Lock from market. Just 1 press and you're good to go. As for the another one I'm not so sure cause I havent got my X8 yet :)

You don't mention what location you are in and what carrier. The market is not available in certain locations but why you should have it and it then dissappear I don't know.
 
im here in middle east. i bought the x8 1.6 and found out there's no android market. so i installed it by root. then when i updated to 2.1 the android market was gone again.
I already have the market.apk, im just waiting for the Root for X8 2.1

wait for the 2.1 root or else what you can do is..

switch back to 1.6 by reading this XDA tutorial

Going back to 1.6 - xda-developers

root your phone

and than change your country code and update using this tutorial

I tried but i got some error in downgrading to 1.6 "checksum err"
I will just wait for the root for 2.1 hope there will be soon..

Nice guide suhel28. Let me ask something, which do u preferred Xperia x8 1.6 (Rooted) or Xperia x8 2.1 (Unrooted)? Sorry for my curious question.

2.1 would be my choice, for one simple reason. the improved WEB BROWSER tis really cool :)
