Root root xoom now?

seeing as the one click method has been dead for half a year now, whats the current method for rooting the moto xoom with verizon 4g?

That's how I did it and it completely worked on my wifi US Xoom. It is purported to work with any original Xoom (apparently not the family edition whatever that is) from any country.

In December, my phone's bootloader was unlocked from HTC. Had to use the HTCDev website to get a bootloader unlock tocken which I then flashed to unlock my phone. Just wondering if you have to do the same thing for the Xoom or is the fastboot command oem unlock all you need?

Thanks

fastboot + oem unlock is all that's required

this has turned out to be the most difficult device to root. I tried the universal method by flashing through ADB, tried Cornea, and LAIOT. I can unlock the bootloader, but thats as far as I can get. ADB method has trouble flashing rootboot.img and cause it to not boot (have to flash stock boot via ADB). Cornea doesnt seem to get any where, same thing with LAIOT. any ideas? running 3.2.6. this is the only device i've ever had trouble rooting,(galaxy nexus, droid x, droid 2g, droid 1, dinc1, dinc 2, HTC EVO, samsung galaxy tab) all of those went essentially flawless.

The biggest difference with this device that I had to get use to was the external memory card. I unlocked the bootloader very easily and then it took about 20 minutes of fiddling around, but got it rooted. I had no issues when rooting my OG Droid, DX or my GNex.

The xoom has fastboot and it is an experience device why not just flash a custom recovery and then flash the su update.zip. The reason no exploits work is because there are no need to find them. You should also be able to push su.bin and the apk via adb once you have unlocked it.
