Root Root Zte warp elite N5918

I hope this is the right place for this sorry if not. I have searched throygh the pages here, but thought asking to make sure wouldn't hurt. I just picked up the Zte warp elite n9518 and I am wanting to root it to get rid of all the bullshit they put on it. Is the root guide sticky the right one for this model. And if yes, should I be worried about it freezing like the guide says?

First one I had for a few days, loved it but got a lol wet and there ain't no opening this thing up. Got a second one and so far so sign of root, don't think it's possible on this phone at least for now. Do not get it wet
 
Man I am soooo looking forward to someone alot smarter than me getting root on this device. This is one great phone for the price.
 
Ohhh i cant wait to root either tho at this point i am very content with the way this phone preforms has anyone been able to teather?

Tether works with PDA Net. Bluetooth and USB modes are available. There is a nice torrent for the full unlocked version as well.
 
I've spent days trying various configurations to root this model. So far, nothing is available from ANY of the software roots, and the bootloader cannot be accessed to flash a custom recovery.
 
#1 Shut down phone
#2 Hold volume down and power button at same time wait 2 rounds of the zte logo and as soon as it goes black after second one release keys.
Poof your in recovery
 
It is a shame this phone looks like it is going to end up with the same fate as the Sony Aquos Crystal. Such a great device but no one can seem to crack it.
 
Keep trying and keep an eye on those 2 threads I posted for updates to the apps. Not all Roots are successful on first tries
 
They are making progress at Kingroot, it now recognizes the phone and tries to root it but it fails. Hopefully they will have it done soon.

Really need to root this phone since the update boost sent out, it seems a little more sluggish since then.
