So i rooted my white samsung fascinate. I did it correctly and everything but my girlfriend bought me the white one from best buy. I just dont like the white. It seems tacky. Can i return it back to best buy or are they gonna figure out its rooted? I have only had it for less than three weeks so im still within the return/exchange period to get a black one.

They'd never know frankly. Or you can unroot http://androidforums.com/fascinate-...db-su-terminal-unroot-method.html#post1796729. Or you can just do a factory reset.

i dont believe factory reset will remove root...but yeah the unroot method works....or dio1 all in one odin

or if you used *z4root* you should be unable to unroot that way as well

i would unroot it personally...i doubt they d do anything...but technically root does void your warranty...so if they see a superuser icon, they *might* be fussy

And frankly I see if they caught you they could have verizon charge your acct. I would unroot its not a hard process

I personally do not know of a way to unroot with it leaving your apps. All paid apps are saved to google but free ones would have to be redownloaded. But if you are taking it back why do you need them?

if you unroot, you shouldnt loose apps/data at all....only if you factory data reset or odin would you do so
