Root Rooted 2.2.1 Update

Here is a rooted 2.2.1 for vortex. I hardly changed anything.

Changes from stock:
Pre-rooted and boot is unsecured.
Added flash_image and updated busybox.

Rom makers feel free to use this as a base. Please no questions on how I dumped this take it as a gift. If some of you guys can email Lg for Vs660 kernel source under GNU/GPL request I'd make a OC updated kernel for you guys.

any way for you to release the default recovery just in case

i updated to 2.2.1 did a nandoid of 2.2.1 and put it in the kitchen an rooted it but thanks for this
like I said we just need the default recovery img if we have a problem with our phone we can reflash it thanks

I emailed Lg and they responded that vs660 source will be out next week.

I finally figured out how to flash it with your 2.2.1 image. It works beautifully.

If I believed in God and all that shit I would call you a Saint.
 
Hello Everyone,

First I want to thank everyone for all the good information posted. My first post on here. Here goes.

1 month ago I bought a verizon LG Vortex that was basic flashed to Cricket. (talk and text only)

I activated with Cricket and have noticed that a lot of the apps on the phone I don't use. Ex: skype, vz navigator and so on.

1st question...I was wondering if by rooting the LG VORTEX it will mess with the flash at all ? as in will it all of the sudden stop working with cricket.

2nd question...how do I root the phone? Can anyone post a step by step on how to do it. Please.
