BTW, I keep getting comments on my phone about how nice and clean it looks. Running Monster 4 with launcherpro and a nice blue themeto my dock icons to match the battery, wifi etc....Runs and looks fantastic.

I can't wait for your next release.

check his github maybe you can look at some of his fixes from cm and see if thee is any carry over

I don't have a full 2.3.6 install going. it's kind of a butchering. The updated phone drivers from 2.3.6 that go into the firmware from samsung, as i couldn't get the odin push of phone file to work, but 2.3.4 software.

Followed the instructions on http://androidforums.com/admire-all-things-root/454073-regarding-2-3-6-update-metropcs-solved.html#post3548956 steps 1 through 16 and everything seems to be working right out of the box...

My guess would be that it is something in the MMS.apk from 2.3.6 that is causing the issue, but can't be certain....

Any other info I can provide you with about the process let me know and I will be glad to share
 
i still have the original update i got from samsung. tell me where to send it. and its yours.

i'm runnin the the modem from it, with genos monster 4 with paris ics 2.1 theme and am doing great with it out of philly.

@viperdink hey just a question for ya...

Since it is looking like that is how i am going to be set up, how did you fix the 3g issue?

Did ya do it with QPST, and if so did you do it after applying the 2.3.6 update and then put monster over top or get everything set up then QPST?
 
it says the same name but i got it fom samsung when they had it up . i put it on an external hard drive after scanning it with e-set. i left a copy on my laptop and have it still installed on my desktop. if i use the 2.3.4 roms everyone has been making. i can cwm on top no problem. once you load the modem of 2.3.6 your stuck with it unless you odin back to 2.3.4. stock . i never used the mms fix but i keep network and market access apps just in case. but its only needed the market access when i install a new rom the first time i go to market. i just did a speed test : 851 ms /115 kbs d/l / 139 kbs u/l... NO 3g, always 1x. and i am in philly which is metros step child market. hope this helps and qpst is your friend! simple ip!

oyea i forgot i have a jig so getting into odin d/l mode may be why i haven't lost data..IDK

I have a 2.3.6 rom already but i haven't tested or tryed to fix anything. If youd like ill send you the zip unless you already have the system pulled from your phone (this way you will not mess up your 3g)
 
Sounds good but i got a question please? with out a jump in processor speed, cm7 still uses the same modem version so can you tell me the advantage sinces its not 100% funtional. Plus monster4.....? & admiral beast rock the admire quite nicely and you can use either modem ver.
if you get full function with 2.3.4 what do you get with that rom?

i'm in philly', metro even lies about 4 g speed. even a double processor isn't gonna help.
 
One of our main devs (bloodawn) from the prevail threads used the admires 2.3.6 stock rom to build his 3.0 version rom.. I have used it and it works great. I just can't get away from cm7 for the prevail. I have had better benchmark scores on cm7 for some reason.. although I am experimenting with overclocking on both... our processor is stock 800 MHz like the admires is... I've been running.h up at 946 MHz with hardly any problems.. although my battery heats up pretty nice sometimes when I'm puttingit under slot of pressure... the cm7 rom and kernel seemed to play angry birds space smoother than the 2.3.6 rom bloodawn put out though.. I was using same CPU settings for both... not exactly sure why..
