Help ROOTED but not ROOTED

You might want to make sure you are using the latest version of Kingroot--5.0. Earlier versions will no longer root your phone because they are too easy to remove with SuperSu Me or manual instructions. Version 5.0 can be uninstalled completely but not without losing root. There is no method to replace it with SuperSu that currently works. Kingroot is only recommended if you are very desperate and cannot root with a computer. It does work, especially for Samsung Phones, but it probably won't unlock your bootloader (so no custom recovery) meaning you will need to use Flashify to flash zips. It will also hit you with pop-up ads, install other software on your phone (or computer if you use the computer version) and deny root access to apps that it doesn't like. I can't emphasize enough that Kingroot should only be used as a last resort if you are desperate to be rooted and have no other method. Kingroot works but it acts much more like malware than a normal Android program.

Flashify only works if you have SuperSU installed and not the KR one.

Chinese phones being sold at Best Buy under the brand name Blu were confirmed to have spyware preinstalled on them that sent info to China. This wasn't telemetry information like people got in a lather about Microsoft collecting. Contacts, email contents, and text messaging contents were all sent to China. If you are OK with this I think you're nuts, but to each his own.

Is that by chance an Obama phone? Seems like all those have spyware to see if you have a secret bank acount on money your not disclosing. I had one of those and the only way to remove it was to root the phone. Once i did and installed AdAway i found out it had a secret port it was connecting to and only showed up after i removed the app responeable for it as it hide it self as a running app.

I have used KingRoot to root some Chinese phones from China that nothing else worked on. Had to insist six or seven times but finally worked and I could take out the Chinese bloatware that I didn't even understand anyways because it was in Chinese, lol.

The only method I've seen for the s7 is the eng bootloader method. You can find threads per variant at XDA. It will definitely require a computer and knowledge of Odin. The success rate and reported issues that follow the process make it seem less than ideal, but YMMV.

Hi.
I recently just tried to root my s7 using z4root and it failed to root my phone due to (unfortunately z4root has suddenly stopped working) before it was completed.
Soon after, about 5 mins or so, i recieved a message from samsung+ stating that my device was rooted.
I then installed root my android (root checker) and was told that my device is not rooted.
Im confused on what the problem could be.

Could someone please give any tips on what i could do to actually determine if root was successful??

Thanks!
Download supersu app from play store to grant permission to root checker ? It controls everything and will detect if root framework is installed or not,Rootchecker aint gonna work until there is a app which control the root permission even if there is root framework installed .

you will not be rooted none of the so called rooting apps can root a phone running MM 6.0.1 and the email you got will be from the app making out you are rooted and not from Samsung I have rooted a S3, S4, S5 and an S7 and have never had an email from Samsung. Not a great time to root with the Nougat update due any day root will still be available after the ota anyway.
