Root Rooted, but...?

Mayhem

Android Expert
Ok, so I finally managed to get my Tbolt rooted. I installed das BAMF DeBloated 1.6. Everything's OK. Except the VZW apps are still there. I assumed they wouldn't be, but ok.

I install a couple of the add-ons from that package (which ones escapes me at the moment but I could tell you given a list...). I boot up and things aren't OK. Personalize immediately closes and ROM Manager as well as OI File Manager have disappeared. SuperUser is still there and says I'm still rooted. Titanium Backup say's I'm not.

I was able to go back through most of the steps from Android Police (2 thru 6) and get back to a somewhat stable point.

My issue now is I've installed Liquid Thundersense (whatever the latest is as of this afternoon) and now it's hung at the customized Thunderbolt screen where the logo shows. I popped the battery and it does the same thing.

Anyone have any ideas where/what I fscked up?

Thanks

Debloat is a basic, nearly stock ROM. I would check out the nte version, (non themed edition) it sounds like it will be what you're looking for

Have you tried rebooting like 4 or 5 times since rooting? Did you fix permission in ROM Manager? I had to go into the market and update ROM Manager to fix permissions. After that everything worked perfectly for me.

AFA not being able to boot, you can boot into HBOOT, navigate to recovery and either wipe data and flash the ROM again or restore one of your backups. I assume you know how to get into HBOOT with the screen off? If you don't, while the phone is off hold volume down and power. While in HBOOT use the volume key to toggle to recovery and power to select it. The rest should be rather obvious

and after than,i would highly reccomend using recovery for your flashing/wiping/backing up until youre comfortable with it. personally, i would not use rom manager at all,but if you want to,at least first become comfortable with the actions to manually do things in recovery so you are able to fix situations like these. while many people "have never had a prollem",rom manager, like any app, certainly wont help you if you cant boot into a working rom where it is present. ;)
