Root Rooted Desire with PVT4 - unable to create Nandroid backup or Flash

I must thanks to everyone in this thread because this is the only place that I found clearly explained questions and answers that helped me too.
I have PVT4 40000 Desire and was unable to make NAND backup because of ClockworkMod 2.5.0.7
I rooted again with UnRevoked 3.21 and AmonRa 2.0.1 custom revovery. Everything went smooth and now I'm able to make NAND backup. Cheers!

Hi guys, does amon-ra work with rom manager the same as clockworkmod?

And which version of amon-ra should you use ideally?

Thanks

Here's how I did it. Thanks to SURoots FAQ.

I had a PVT4 40000 phone. S-On.

1. I used unrevoked 3.22. It installed Clockworkmod 2.5.0.7 which did not allow me to backup or flash ROM, but it did root my phone.
2. Using Clockworkmod, I was able to mount my phone as USB drive
3. I did a complete backup of my SD card
4. Using VMPlayer following instructions from http://androidforums.com/desire-all...mware-player-updateded-8th-august-2011-a.html
a. Delete existing partition
b. Create new primary partition with 1024 unused space
c. The primary partition was formatted as FAT32
d. For the unused space, I created another primary partion and formatted it as EXT4
5. Following instructions/ suggestions, I ran unrevoked 3.22 again with recovery-RA-desire-v2.0.0 as custom ROM
6. plugged in the phone and let it run. It installed Amon_RA.
7. I used this to do a Nandroid backup.
8. Once this was done, I was able to use RCMIX Bravo v2.0 and it installed successfully first time round.

Hope this helps someone who is in the same situation.
