Lurker
I have searched through the forums and haven't quite found the right info I'm looking for. I've even searched some of the other websites, but the people who respond in the forums of other pages had a tendancy of being really rude sometimes, so I figured this was the right place to find my answer.
I was wondering if someone could help me find a thread to help me figure out my my phone is lagging.
I just rooted my HTC Evo 4G yesterday after months of being scared to do it. I haven't flashed any custom ROMS or kernels yet, but I am already seeing a lot of benefits of rooting my phone.
I downloaded the SetCPU app in order to help with speed when I'm using the phone and battery conservation when I'm not.
I thought I had found a site that was going to help me understand the app better and I set my profiles based off of what I've learned.
I have higher priority for when my battery is below 45 percent and also for when the screen is off. Both of those profiles have lowered min/max settings.
I have slightly lower priorities when my phone is charging and the min/max is higher. The forums I was reading in didn't discuss scaling, so the profiles are all set to performance.
My phone is now lagging more than before I downloaded the app.
What I would like is for my phone to run slower and conserve battery life when the battery is low or not being used at all, and I would like my phone to perform faster when it's on the charger and in general when I'm using it.
Help?
