Root rooted evo

i have a rooted evo its been rooted for awhile but i cant get teh netflix app on my evo. i was told it has something to do with the opp system can u upgrade the opp system i dont want ginger
 
what rom are you on? have you flashed the rooted ota rom? the official update 4.22 at the moment will not work with netflix. but i think it will work on some gingerbread roms. it works with cm7 which is gingerbread.
 
That is correct I couldn't find it in the market but thanks for the help yeah I was told that if I search for it and it doesn't show its not compatible with my software is that correct
 
yeah is it seems that way. people who have the ota, their netflis app is not working. i have it working on the cm7 with no issues though and it is gb.
 
Another question y can't I stream any videos on any site I think I might have to unroot and then wait for a new root procedure become out I have talked to people who have rooted evos and it seems like mine is missing stuff
Any hints tips or comments

i would not unroot. it could be awhile before a new exploit is found. what stuff are you missing? what version of flash do you have? you can always try and wipe dalvik cache and cache and see if that fix any issues that you have.

It is very unlikely that the root procedure caused any video issues as turning security off and flashing recovery(which is separate from your rom) would have no affect on the rom itself. What rom are you currently on? Do you have flash player updated?

I am rooted with CM7 7.0.3.1 - Supersonic
SavagedZen CFS-HAVS+
Android 2.3.3

I called Netflix two nights ago and they say that the 2.3.3 Android was the reason it wasn't working with the 2.2 Evo.

Well, I downloaded the update through the Android Market
for Netflix, logged in ok, however when I went to play a selection,
the message that

"Netflix has been deactivated on this device"

appeared.

Do I need to uninstall and re install or have others with this simliar configuration experienced the same problem.

try that. the new netflix is now available on the market. i'm on virus's kingdom rom and my netflix app just asked me to update and so i did and is now working great.
 
The reason was I had a previously installed Netflix updated on a Sense ROM
so now that I am running CM7 I needed to reinstall Netflix.

It runs fine now.
