How can you remove the standard battery and clock icon from the status bar at the top?

I've got aftermarket apps for battery and clock so they're redundant.

I'm not sure you can but you should be able to remove your notifications from your "aftermarket apps"

But I like the notification of battery indicator better because it tells me the percentage up in the status bar, instead of taking up space on my home page.

By editing the services.jar file. But that is really risky since we do not have a way of backing up and if you mess up your are screwed
