Root Rooted 'stock' Android 1.5 ROM??

So according to this thread the Orange update is finally (maybe) arrived.

I'm on a rooted Orange Hero running SenseHero2.1. I'd rather not have to unroot my phone to try out the official 2.1 ROM. Chances are I'd try and go back to using the custom ROM anyway.

So is there a way to get a rooted 'stock' Orange 1.5 ROM on my phone, so that I could try getting the update OTA for 2.1?

It won't help.... the Orange OTA will unroot your handset no matter what. If you want to retain root access, don't update.

It's possible that rooted stock versions will appear; Paul O'Brien (@MoDaCo) always repacked the stock ROMs with root access previously.
