Rooted using DoomLord method but can't backup my stock ROM, please help!

Hi there, i'm a noob to rooting so apologies for my lack of knowledge!

I rooted my SG2 using DOOMLORDS method and it seemed to work really well.

When i'm using ROM manager to do a backup i get the following message:

E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed.
Installation aborted.

I am currently on 2.3.4.

Please help!

Many thanks.

Where do all these root methods come from? Use cfroot instead
[30.11.2011][CF-Root 5.0] KE*,KF*,KG*,KH*, KI2/3/4/8, KJ1/2/3, KK2/5 - su+bb+CWM4/5 - xda-developers
That will instal cwm (clockworkmod recovery). Flash everything using that.

To be honest I'm always quite surprised at how many rooting methods get gs2 users to try to flash stuff with rom manager as it doesn't work to well worth the gs2. Maybe it was put out by the other manufactured who got the hump and tried to (explicit word) the opposition

i flashed my KI4 2.3.5 with the correct kernel from the above thread.

the above thread says..

"Because of incompatibility with ROM Manager, I wrote and included "CWM Manager". This is a new app (as of March 30, 2011). You can find it under Applications -> CWM. It is much faster to use than manually booting into CWM and selecting these options."

cant see CWM Manager in applications on anywhere on my phone. does the kernel install the app or do i have install manually?

It's named simply "CWM" and the icon is a big silver sprocket/gear wheel. It's installed automatically when you flash the CF-Root package.

it didn't appear probably cos i had rom manager installed at the time. removed rm and reinstalled the cwm manager apk and all's well :)
