A long time ago, I rooted using unrevoked, but after downloading RomManager (just today), and Warm2.2 (a rom), there is nothing than can get my phone to boot into recovery so I can do a wipe/backup.

It just gets stuck on the white HTC EVO 4g screen!

I rooted back in august, and my hboot is like 0.97 or something. I have to pull the battery out to get it working again.

Mucho gracias!

Open rom manager.
Select flash clockwork mod recovery
Let it do its thing
When it's done you should be able to reboot and access recovery.

i got an error at this step. I also got an error when I tried to recover a back up. still getting the white boot screen.

What step are you getting an error at? Flashing recovery from ROM manager? Try uninstalling it, then reinstalling it.

This is exactly what was happening to me. You need to download a fresh recovery zip. Rename it pc36img and put it on the root of your sd card. Boot into bootloader. when it asks if you want to install say yes. I don't have the dload links handy akazabam hook him up!
