Root rooting a 2.2.2 lg optimus m

alright so today i bought a lg optimus m from metro piece of shit and it came with the firmware 2.2.2, after reading dozens of threads and trying the gingerbreak 1 click thingy it didn't work so all i want to know is if you can root a 2.2.2 phone because i am so tired and exhausted of trying already and I want to know if im wasting my time.
 
Help guys, I downgraded from 2.2.2 to 2.2.1 following these directions, and I still can't root the phone, I used Gingerbreak, Z4, and Superoneclick, neither are rooting the phone. In About, the OS Version listed is 2.2.1.

Never mind on this guys, I rebooted my phone and tried Gingerbreak again, and it successfully rooted my phone, WOOO
