Root Rooting android 2.3.3

I just rooted my htc desire, on witch I have installed the official 2.3.3 update that i downloaded from htc:s homepage. I rooted by following this guide: How To Gain S-Off, Flash a Custom Recovery, and Root Your Android Phone Using the Revolutionary Method | TheUnlockr :)

sweet, theyve brought in support from 1.0.2 hboot
thats awesome

the problem with theunlokrs guides are that they dont actually do much once someone complains about an issue.

lol have you seen the responses

Thanks all. I followed the guide posted by bollivert

I concur I have tried this and works great on my htc desire.
The guide wasnt that hard to follow. Apart from copying su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip to the root of the SD.
I just rebooted my phone connected usb as a disk drive, copied it over, rebooted to recovery and then did the install from zip.

Just followed this procedure, and all went smoothly. The only difference I found was that the CWM menu does not use the power button to select the options - you have to use the trackball button. That had me stumped for about 30 mins LOL!

Anyway, I'm now in the land of the rooted, and will later be working out how to reclaim my internal memory!
