Root Rooting - can't get unrevoked started ...

Thanks for the recommendation.

I now have Oxygen pretty much as I want it (using the UOT Kitchen, amongst other things). If I wipe it and try MIUI, is there an easy way to backup what I have at the moment should I want to go back, or will I have to re-start from scratch?

do a nandroid back up by booting to recovery and doing a backup
you then wipe and install a rom of choice

if you dont like it, restore the nand backup and it will return to the current state
