Root Rooting disabled usb pc connection and charging

Hi i was trying to root my Sony Xperia Z (C3306), and it was not successful. If i plug a charger or USB cable to the phone it makes the connection sound but no charging, when my phone is off it charges. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Forums!

Does the phone still boot up? Do you have Sony's PC Companion software installed on your computer, and if so does it detect the phone correctly?

it starts up correctly, im using it i build a dock charger out of legos to charge it, i instaled the Sony PC Companion software noting it says device not recognised i used divrent Pc's, USB cables and a even a Sony Xperia Z3 (my Pc reads the Z3)

How can i root my phone without using a computer?

There are a few standalone rooting apps available, but tbh I always advise using a computer if available as it gives you a "get out of jail card" if things go wrong. The aforementioned FlashTool can root all but the latest 5.0.2 firmware, for example.

In any case, I don't advise proceeding further until the device is working correctly.

Kingo 4.1 apk worked for my phone even though it isn't listed.
I never recommend rooting without unlocking bootloader and installing custom recovery but I don't have a PC so I just did it and I'll only root access for relatively safe operations/apps

Hmm, did you select just up to "...\Xperia_Z_Driver" and include all sub folders?
It is just Xperia Z (assume was meant to read C6603 not C3306)?

Did you install the FlashTool drivers when prompted during installation?

If it won't go into flashmode then it'll be almost impossible to fix. Your only option may be a Sony Service Centre, I'm afraid.

Thanx for trying to help ill wait for next year when im working ill buy a new one on a contrack
