Root Rooting ICS

droidbionicroot.com is the website, sorry for my oversight. Anyways it has a youtube video on it and I followed it every step of the way.

Just to ask the question, did you unzip that DroidRazrRoot.com_ICS.zip file into its own folder and run the batch file from there, or did you just open the zip file in explorer and double-click the batch file? If I am not mistaken, it's rather critical to unzip the file first, open the folder than was created when you unzipped, and run the batch file from there.

[Sorry I did not answer sooner - I was traveling with only an iPad and my phone since last Tuesday...]

Honestly I'm using winrar for opening zip files because the free trials of winzip and 7zip are expired and I will not be buying them. So with that being said, when I download a file like this one I usually just right click on it, click open file and go from there. I haven't had much luck with doing the process that you stated because I honestly fully understand how to do it so that it makes the right file that I need. Anyways, I'll try to do the process that you stated and see how it goes.

I have to admit that it's a long time since I've used Windows [I've used Macs exclusively since 2007, but I used Windows before that going back to version 1.1], and I haven't spent much time in Windows 7, but can't you right-click any zip file and expand it from the popup menu in windows explorer?

Yes and that's what I did and I clicked on the program file that I needed in order to start the command prompt for the root process. So I extracted everything to a file that I made in another folder and I can give you a list of all the files in the zip file if that helps you to help me at all? The super user is an apk file.

Try Jzip it is free and works great.
Free File Compression Software ? Based on 7Zip | jZip

Is there a busybox file in there? I will PM you the razors edge file I used and see if that works.

Yeah busy box is in there. But it's not an apk file. I'm rooted, I put root checker on my phone and it says I'm rooted but the problem is I can't put busy box on it and SuperSU says that the binary file isn't there and that it can't be installed. So, that's where I sit as of now.

To late, I already did the root with razors edge. It worked, I have SuperSU. But I don't have busy box and also I can't uninstall the old version of superuser.

Busybox is not an .apk file; it's a linux executable, and has no extension. If you get root explorer or something similar, it should be in /system/xbin - however, it will not be in the app drawer - it's not an Android application.

Better: install Titanium Backup from the market. I think that the pro is worth every penny, but even the free version, in the front page, will tell you whether or not you are rooted, and show you the busybox version.

OK, not a problem I will get said program and go from there.

Any advice you can give me on a couple ROMS I was looking at installing? I found them on XDA and I know there are a good number of people from here that go back and forth between the two sites. So I'd much rather ask you guys here since there aren't any ICS ROMS thread under the all things root section. I will leave well enough alone if it is best to just stay on ICS itself. But the ICS ROM called WIZZED BEAN looks really cool. OK that's it for now.

Glad you got it working. TiBu will let you remove either superuser or SuperSU which ever you decide to use. On top of telling you what busybox you have it will update it for you.
