so have did the amon ra2.3 what rom manger app should i used ! what is a good site to get a rom and can i used any kind of roms please help

DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER!!!! it is known to be very buggy on the evo 4g. plus it will not work with amon ra2.3. do everything in recovery and never rely on an app when you can do it manually. that is what i have been taught and what i always try to pass on.
as far as roms go, you can use the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/618281-list-utilities-apps-roms-kernels-og-evo.html. it is pretty much up to date.......though there might be a rom or two that might need updating.....at some point i need to go back and check.
check out the staff picks. there are some great suggestions of roms to try out. then best for me would be mikg3.11.
also the 2nd post has more great info that you should check out.

one more problem ok choosing updates and alot of drop calls what should i do
what rom are you on? if you are talking about OTA's(Over The Air updates) then NO!!!!! never accept those. most custom roms will have the check for updates feature unchecked......you can do this manually under settings/about phone/software/uncheck "check for update" box.
if you are on sense the try updating your prl and profile in your phone's settings.

What Ocn means is go into the settings area of your phone and the move down to the bottom choice which will be "About Phone". You will need to select About phone and then software...once you are there verify that auto update is not checked!

It's been a good while since I used that Rom, but yes if there is not update box to check then you can exit.
Edit: Did you try to update the prl and profile like Ocn mentioned

You mentioned a issue with dropped calls and he suggested trying to update prl and profile. Updating those is about all you can do at this point.
if dropped calls become an issue then you might want to contact sprint. it might be they are having tower issues or you might have bad radios which can be a hardware issue. one thing is for sure is that being rooted or being a specific rom will not cause the drop calls to happen.

are you using the hotspot built into the rom? or are you using the wifi tethering app? what does it do when you try to connect? the more info you can give us the better we can understand what is going on.

im using the wifi tethern app from muller, lemon buxton i tried the built in hotspot in the phone too its not working either it just want turn on but the wifi tethern it show a connection but it want connet to the internet it also show a error in the settings of the wifi too

the built in hotspot works but the wifi tethers in the app market do not work any more can i used the built in hotspot ! i have htc evo that site that you gave me witch download is good for me for the wifi tether
app is an app does not matter what phone you have. this one will work with the og evo with no issues.
ok so the hotspot works? why not just use that?

you sure can use it. it has been hacked so that you will not have the service from sprint to use it....so feel free to use it. most custom roms will have the hacked hotspot working. i think there is even a file you can flash to get it hacked as well.
anyways, just keep in mind though that if you use the phone excessively that you take the chance that sprint will notice the large amounts of data being used . you can possibly get the boot, so try and not use it too much. this also goes for the wifi tethering app.
