Root Ruby 1.1.1 is out!

Can somebody else try bluetooth streaming some music? I have 2 different Bluetooth headsets and neither of them get any audio at all when playing music. Calls are fine but I have tried the music player, Slacker, Pandora and MixZing with media volume maxed and they are all silent.

Just tested it on Slacker, MLB At Bat and Music player... NO GO, guess I'm going to have to dump this ROM . I can't go with out BT Audio Stream

I want to fire this up but:

A.) My battery is at 16%

B.) I use my camera like crazy so 3mp would be fine if the quality is superb.

and

C.) Galaxy S theme for cyanogenmod is killer.

Does anyone have an opinion on the speed or battery life on this thing? It's burning a hole on my sdcard!

It is verrrry fast and smooth. Battery charged extremely fast but got very hot. Battery also drained a lot faster than I would like. BT audio is the killer for me as well.

It was a lot of fun to try this ROM today though, Looking pretty good so far. :D

How does it compare to CM6?

CM6 still has a bit of work before it's a daily ROM for me Ruby is right about the same . Neither are ready for PrimeTime but man watch out when they are these ROMS have insane potential almost enough that I could live with the bugs

Flashed and BT audio is a no god. Agreed it was fun...going back to Virtuous

the update for cm6 for me was not all that great. immediately i started getting crazy force closes on the email application. internal storage problem still exists, and i didn't even bother checking LEDs because i couldn't go 5 seconds without email forceclosing :( on the bright side i am still running ruby and am liking it. :)

I'm itching to try an AOSP ROM but the camera and Bluetooth audio issues are no goes for me. Definitely keeping my eye on this one though.

I think both Ruby and CM6 are going to be amazing very very soon.

I'm especially excited for Ruby it's first release was very stable and very close to fully operational. Plus BT Audio and Camera aren't completely necessary for many people . This ROM is going to OWN very soon

thanks, i saw that after i had already gone back to ruby. i did make a nandroid so i may try again tonight.

slightly off topic: can anyone reccommend a good BT headset for music, i've been using my old ipod 3.5mm earbuds and they sound ok but the wire really gets on my nerves and they hurt my ears after having them in for a while.

what about one for someone who is a tightwad like me?

The Motorola S305s are nice too. I don't like headphones that sit on my ear but they offer some damn good sound quality. You could easily get them for under $30.

Sniffles had this to say about the ROM and future updates over on XDA:

Hey guys,

Sorry for the confusion on the release next time i will separate the releases, we were all excited about jumping to multiple devices and releasing two things at once it ended up biting us instead :-P so many people have been confused.

ok on the list of things we are working on to get a quick release out to everyone to fix the major bugs.

GPS doesn't work
Camera reports 3MP instead of 8MP
No 720P recording
Emmc internal storage issues(might be fixed in a later release)

as soon as we have these fixed we will be pushing out a .1 fix.

sorry again for the confusion.
