Root Ruby 1.1.1 is out!

YES but the only way I could get it to boot was to boot to recovery and wipe then install Ruby 1.1.1, reboot , then boot back to recovery and install Gapps, then reboot, then boot back to recovery and install Incognito Red.

Booted fine after than and I do have to admit its pretty good looking but but the Bluetooth issue kills the whole Rom for me :(

i installed ruby and the Gapps together, then incognito red after reboot, and worked good for me.....

I have to say that this is one one of the best ROMS I have ever used. Everything in this rom runs fast with scores in the 1500's. Internet is quick, stock apps are very nice and UI is great. I can't wait to see the next installment.

Holy Moly this was my first venture into vanilla....this ROM is blindingly fast didn't know it was possible to be like this. I've had very few issues no reboots (24 hrs). Only thing buggin is email it downloads all my hotmails after I've already deleted them off phone and after every reboot .

I've never seen a phone this fast before ought to be amazing upon final releases!

The only complaint I have about this bug is that I can't get Wireless Tether to work.
Everytime I'm tethering it will work properly for a good 5 minutes then 3g will just cut out.
Has anyone experienced similar issues?

This is my favorite ROM I've used yet. My only complaint is that the voice recognition seems to be unsupported throughout most of the OS. Only place it works is in the Voice Dialer app. Is this just me or is it like this for everyone else on this ROM?

It really is amazing how fast the AOSP Vanilla ROMS are (Ruby, CM6, Shadow etc...) the others just don't compare. But I'm on a Sense based rom now for my daily phone, my play phone is my speed demond

Agreed....also the phone boots and shuts down in half the time a sense ROM does it's wild! lol :D

I'm looking for stability now so SR 3.0 nilla. Wish I had another phone to toy with!

I flashed SR Vanilla the new version the other day and while it works really well, I went back to Virtuous for my daily use. Even with Sense it's just as fast and works slightly better.

I'm gonna give RUBY another go this weekend haven't tried it since it's first relase but Iwas a big fan then

Yeah I was on virtuous for quite a while. SR vanilla gives me the white vanilla noti bar which is a nice change of pace after being on sense so long. They seem the same speed to me SR 3.0 rc3 seems even more polished than virt did. Battery life with virt and adryn's custom kernel though was sick!

I'll go to Ruby again as soon as they knock out 1.1.2 look forward :)

I might just wait for 1.1.2 also, I am normally anti Sense but I'm loving Virtuous with the Revoution theme

Sorry missed that it did not work for me either and I use it quite often. :)
It does suck not having it but it's not a deal breaker for me. Only time I really use it is when I use navigation while driving. For now I'll just pull over and type. Hopefully it's implemented in the next release.

Is there a way to do an exchange corporate directory lookup -- including both phone numbers as well as email addresses with this rom?

The sense"people" app allows you to do this, and I was dismayed to f find there seemed to be no way to do it in cyanogen. If you can in ruby, I'll be all over it.

Just to let some of you know...I've been running Ruby since the day it came out. I installed the Incognito (for Sapphire) theme and it froze up the phone. And I tried several of the themes, Incognito was the only one that caused problems. Then I wiped and installed one of the themed Ruby versions when they came out with them, but I didn't install Incognito.
And I have had NO problems with this Rom. :D It's awesome. I had MailDroid on it and it was causing problems, once I got rid of that then everything has been perfect (but i don't use bluetooth : )
So, just an idea, to maybe try Ruby with something other than Incognito for now? If you are really interested in it anyways. I was on Skyraider before Ruby, I'm liking Ruby more, with both looks and speed. I had a problem with my wifi not working properly in Skyraider.
