Glad to see you made it to the s2 mholloway...if your going to try a custom rom, i highly suggest kingkang or cm10. I personally like kingkang better. Let me know how things are going after you've tried things or if you have any questions pm me

Thank you and good to hear from you,right now running a ROM from the collective, not bad but no hidden menu.
Tried KingKang, AOSP, AOKP, AOCP, Cm10 and different variants of those. Also tried the TW roms out there for this phone as well as Parnoid android which has an ics and Cm10 based.
I think I prefer the Fk23 roms, and CM10 based roms, mainly for the toggle usage. AOKP/AOSP/AOKP and other based roms have the toggle layout I'm not really fond of, namely the ringer toggles.
I prefer a single toggle to do the ringer as apposed to 3 toggles doing a single part of the ringer IE: 1 toggle does silent+ring+vibrate as apposed to having 3 toggles, vibrate toggle, ringer toggle and silent toggle. That's just a waste of space to me, and UN-needed toggles.
That's just me though, a lot of people don't mind it and don't even pay attn to it at all, to me it's more of an annoyance, but hey that's what makes us all unique huh? we all have different tastes and likes.
Over all the roms are VERY similar, maybe a different layout or design, but overall they all are fairly close to the same.
Paranoid android has a cool feature of UI changes, so you can have a tablet layout, or change the DPI to really small or large if you wish, kinda a nice added feature, but still has the 3 separate toggles.
So basically because of the toggles I use CM10 or CM10 based, but again it is preference.
I'd suggest if you have time and you want to experiment to flash a rom like every other day, or every 2-3 days, then you can finally land on what rom you like. It's a hobby for me mainly so I flash A-LOT!!!!!!! I think I've flashed every JB rom and every TW rom to date for this phone, and quite a few I've flashed multiple times.....I feel so dirty all this flashing, such a flashing hoe I am
.I have landed finally on MATTIX tw rom, as it has the customized toggles addon, so I have landed on that for now.
