Root running gingerbread but no market or google account sync!!!

Ola chaps...

My hero went a bit odd and decided that it wouldn't recognise my music in the music app... would play them but wouldn't show the tracks on my sd card and wouldn't let me set custom ringtones/notifications...

upgraded to cyanogens lated... which happens to be ginger bread... now i have no market and i can't sync with my google account to get all my contact back...

any ideas?
