Root S-off ? About fast boot

Just thinking here and want to be sure. I am s-off should fast boot still be checked under the power option of should it be un checked. Thanks

I always keep fast boot off so that I can reboot into the bootloader easier.

Also, seeing that you're rooted and this is a root centered topic, I've moved this to the ATR section

yeah i have never seen the use for fastboot. i always leave it disabled. it never has affected anything.

Just to make sure you aren't getting confused on terminology...

That fastboot check box is for when the phone shuts down or restarts. If fastboot is ON, the phone doesnt actually shut down all the way. It goes into a hibernation that allows it to start up faster. Having fastboot OFF fully shuts the phone down.

The phone must be fully down in order for the power+volume down combo to get you to bootloader


This is NOT to be confused with flashing kernels via fastboot. That is a completely different thing.
