I just got my phone back from Best Buy and its set to S-Off but there is no superuser nor a recovery option..what do I need to do to get full root? It was rooted before? The tech who worked on my phone put froyo back on there.

Well, you could try to flash the PC36IMG.zip file for either amon ra or clockwork recovery.

Which were you using in the past?

What was your phone like before the trip to best buy?

I was on MikGv2.1 2.1+3.0. But I just ran the latest unrevoked 3.32 and it fixed my problem..now I figure out which rom I want haha :) Thank you for responding.

you really did not have to run unrevoked. the main job of unrevoked is to get s-off. you could have downloaded the superuser app from the market. and then install a custom recovery. just a fyi, since you have all ready achieved both. try mikg2.41 would be my suggestion.

I know mikgv2.41 is probably good but I'm just looking for a full 3.0 sense with the 3d carousel, do you know any that is stable?

Well someone did. I was rooted and had a gingerbread rooted rom on here, mikgv2.1. I don't think they did a factory reset because all that would done is start from scratch on the already flashed mikgv2.1 rom. They must of ran a ruu version of froyo 2.2 3.70 rom or something because s-off was still on but there was no custom recovery installed. That's my guess. That should be mandantory for all rooted phones, so that the user can still have the option to root, don't you think :P~

It wasn't an actual tech from best buy...the phones are sent to another location when you need your phone repaired.

In all actuality, if he had s-off when he picked up his phone, it wouldn't have mattered if they put 2.3.3 on the phone with the new hboot. He still would have been able to flash a recovery and the rom of his choice.
