Root S-OFF failed help!

How do you know if this works? I can't find the app2sd+ application.
I install the addon thru recovery, is this correct?
And I partition the SD card using gparted. But noticed there was only 1 FAT32 partition. So I added another 1G ext2 partition after that FAT32. Is this correct?

Thanks again.
as i said, on the 1st post on the xda thread for the 2.3 stock rom there are some attachments (you may need to be logged in to see them) there is one for a2sd.
you flash the zip through recovery the same way you do a rom but only after the card has been partitioned
I would advise as the device is currently working you take a backup of it via recovery.

as for the partitioning, you are correct. just remember to click apply at the end to start the partition process
please remove important files like the backup of the current rom as partitioning may format the card

It must of worked as I look at the new partition thru gparted and found 100Mb on it. I didn't realize the apps were automatically moved to the new ext2 partition.

Thanks again

No I still don't completely understand ... is the new partition an extension of internal storage? So when I move an app to the SD card does it go to the fat32 partition?

Yes the ext partition is an extension of internal storage. The easiest way to check it's working is to install Quick System Info from the market.

read the root memory faq and dont manually move apps when you have a2sd. it moves them itself but is accepted as internal memory. it will just slow the reduction in mb's
