Hi everyone,
Ever since I got my Samsung S2, I noticed how, just before any camera-related app starts up, a brief clicking/popping noise is heard, apparently not from the speaker but from inside the phone (though I'm not 100% sure).
I didn't mind this until recently when I noticed that this noise is heard from the phone more and more often, even when I'm not starting any camera app, and even when the phone has the screen locked. I wouldn't even mind this so much, but it seems that if I happen to be using the phone at that moment, the phone becomes sluggsish, as if some CPU-intensive operation went on in the background.
One evening, after the phone went on a clicking frenzy for hours (one click every 10mins or so), I noticed that the battery went down to almost nothing, which makes sense when considering that whatever is causing this sound is making Android sluggish and thus using up lots of battery.
Has anyone noticed this on their phone and has any suggestions? Might there be a specific app that's causing this, or the operating system itself (I have JellyBean installed)? Thanks!
