Help S2 problems, please help!

Hi, I'm a galaxy s2 user since June running on 2.3.3. The phone hasn't been rooted.

Phone was fine up to december then it just started shuting off randomly with plenty of battery life left. When i turn it back on, it lets me connect to my home wifi but doesn't let me browse the internet or use my facebook app. Just tells me that there is no internet connection but my settings tell me that i'm connected.

The other problem is that i can send a recieve message but the messages do not show up in my messages. It would vibrate and sound the message tone and show "1 new message" in my lock screen. When i send a message it still sends but does not add to my message thread for that contact.

I hope i have explained everything clearly!

When i do a factory data reset, the phone begins to work but i've lost all apps and messages!

has anyone else had similar problems or could advise me what to do?

Thanks

Sounds like the factory reset cleared whatever the problem was. The clock reset and deletion of installed apps is normal for a reset; if you had "Backup my data" enabled in the Privacy settings then installed apps will reinstall when your Google account syncs. If not you'll have to reinstall manually from the Market.

No i mean when i turn my phone on again after it has shut down the time is reset! I'll enable the backup data thing. Its the messaging problem that i can get my head around!

No the reset fixes everything but it seems to happen me every couple of days. Surely this isn't normal behaviour?
