It is odd aint it? lol. I wanna say the actual % is pretty high too.

I could go so many places about big objects and women but Ill leave it up to you guys imagination. lmao

Did you know that more women than men use the Note series? O_0

Sure they do. That's why women are trying to convince men that it's 'okay' to carry a "Man Purse". LOL

If I had a big bag that I carried with me everywhere I went, that could carry something the size of an HK MP5SD without being noticed, I'd be sporting a Note2 as well. lol

(just kidding... I'm VERY interested in the Note/Note2/Note3(?)... even if it's so big that it requires a holster to pack it. ;)

I wonder if the various States will reciprocate CCDs (Concealed Communication Devices), like they do with CCWs?
Or will they allow 'Open Carry' across State borders?

:D

I'll be honest. I thought the Note series wouldn't do well because of the size but people have eaten phone size up. I still firmly believe the Note 2 is still the best all around phone out. That says something.

Well, you know I was just fun'n about the size... my Son-in-Law has one, and I must admit - I suffer from "Phablet Envy" now. lol

I get that too but then lose it when my S3 slides smoothly out my pocket.

Good point!
Although, he doesn't seem to have any issues I've noticed - so far.
(but then again - I don't stare at his pants when it rings. lol)

;)

(Why does this remind me of Stan's dog 'Sparky'?)

I don't see any problems with this. Sounds like its easy to get rid of if you don't want it and protects the average joes that don't root. Now if they stop releasing kernel sources or outright trying to prevent rooting then you know they're going down the Apple road.

I thought that was something all members of the OHA (Open Handset Alliance) have to do when making Android.

Says this at the bottom

I saw. I mean there will always be a way regardless of how tight they make their system.

Point is that you couple this with everything else Sammy is doing and it raises an eyebrow.

It's like being a person that doesn't drink alcohol. Then you start hanging out with nothing but people that DO drink. At some point your gonna drink.

It just seems like Sammy is on that road, which people have speculated for the past year or so. It just raises eyebrows that's all.

There's always gonna be root.........I hope. :/

BUT - how certain are we (here, in the US) that we'll be getting the Exynos processor in either version? (I'm grasping at straws here)

Granted, the Note 2 did last time around, but... what about the next gen? Perhaps it just my "5 O'Clock somewhere" talking, but I just don't wanna see us go down THAT collective road again. (US S4 vs International Exynos)

Let's hope "The latest Exynos Galaxy S4 kernel update makes your phone safer, more secure, and ultimately doesn't prevent you from having root." is spot on this time - pertaining to the next Note(?).

That's my only true concern... Shabby, et al, will crack it, i'm sure... but look at the time it took for the US SGS3, compared to the Note2 to achieve root status and various ROM development?

Perhaps, once again, I 'don't know what I'm talking about'... but time will tell.
No doubt time will tell.

Personally - I hope my doubt's are wrong.
Again.

Im reading that a good bit of HTC One's have been returned due to blown speakers and dead pixels.

no us carrier will have the exynos chip, we have known that for a while :)

the note 2 struggled (and still is) due to exynos crap, while the tmobile/sprint sgs4 already has nightlies of cm10.1

Thank god we ain't betting money lol but its getting pretty interesting in here. Next month eh that's pretty bold to say anyways I hope u realize just for saying that people will hound you even though ur just a messenger.

Lol, that's cool because I'll be hounding my guy in the same fashion. Pretty much the only person I've come to trust as far as word. He was the only person that told me 10/22 for the S3 and also tipped me off to where I could get it a couple days earlier, even though he didn't have it until launch day. All other dealers and corp employees fed me an endless array of rubbish. I didn't ask about which network it will have, but he's really excited about the merger. Told him I was about to leave Metro because I'm spoiled now and must have the S4. It's becoming less about the tech and more about the luster for me. I've been with Metro for 8 years and the S3 was the first phone I've had where people actually come up to me like "Is that a Galaxy S3?", etc. I guess it's like being an iSheep but actually having the premium specs to back up being a victim of marketing and popularity. Metro doesn't know what they did when they brought us the S3. They raised the bar and now I expect the best...in a timely fashion. Not 6 months late. I've had flagships from MPCS for the last 4 years and never experienced the abundance of interest and accessories that this phone attracts. I'm ready to move forward and so is my wallet, and while "flagshipping" isn't for everyone, I don't believe I'm alone. I won't succumb to the fees of the big 3, but paying 629 + 10 bucks more a month to a (branch of our family) that can feed my need is looking highly tempting right now. So I hope my guy is right as always, just as a lot of you do, because if he's not...I gotta switch over. Late June or nothing.

I was referring to the Note 3 (if such an animal will ever exist)

In the case of the S4, yes Sir... you are 100% correct.

You would fork up $600 just for an upgrade in RAM? That's not being a phone nut, that's called being rich. lol

Can you spot be a hundo? I'm good for it ;)

Yup, if I could just pay $600 to add another gig to my razr hd maxx I would do it. I push several email accounts and calendars and like live wallpaper etc so I really tax the ram. It slows down the phone and I like a snappy phone. How much have you spent downloading music? I know people who easily spend that much on music or games/xbox. Just a queation of what you prioritize. I don't have an xbox and don't pay for music.

IMO, the smartest, Smartest move for the S4 is when it comes out, to get the S3 at it's close-out price. You'll save a ton of dough and there doesn't look like much real improvement on the S4 anyway.

A S3 will likely be As Nice as anything else Metro gets for the next couple years unless they manage to get something with the theoretically much better revamped sound system like the HTC 1. (Who's new sounds supposedly aren't working so well...)

I think the reviews you are saying are better than the S4 aren't for THAT HTC One.

The Spirit SLAMS the specs in that HTC One V, I can't Even imagine how you think it's better than the S4.

As someone else here noted last week and I checked up on, the new Big Dog HTC One with the forward Stereo speakers IS having return issues for blown speakers, dead pixels and image deformation. That's not very comforting for what could be a great phone.
