Root Sad sad day

UPDATE:
Already rooted and flashing roms! :D

This thing is a beast! Very happy with the performance, not so happy with the volume of roms available. :( Seriously our OG EVOs still have more development than the 3vo.

Overall I'm happy! The single most important part of the whole ordeal is that my wife is happy!!! :D

shhh don't tell anyone or else people will think thier OG Evo is dead and its not.

Well I will be back on the OG soon. My wife saw a video of the LTEVO and she wants one bad. So I'll be returning the 3vo and using another OG until LTEvo launch. Then at Christmas time I'll get another one.
I'm actually sad and happy at the same time. I love this 3vo so I'm sad to see it go, performance is outstanding! I'm also happy because I'll be back on the OG and I'll get a LTEvo this year.

Once again the wife will be happy. Must keep her happy or whole household suffers. Once you've been married for over 10 years you'll understand! :D

Good to hear. You could also look for a cheap android phone to hold you over. The Samsung intercept is on sprint and would probably be under $50 used. Not the best hardware but it would work.

There are alot of options for temp use phones without using an upgrade.

I found an OG EVO to use, more like the OG EVO found me! ;)

I'm taking the upgrade back and using it on the El TEvo, as EM calls it. :D

Seeing as I actually have 4g in my area already, I will likely wait untill Sprint actually rolls out LTE service before I upgrade to any LTE phone. Something to think about before you jump onto the LTEvo. Imagine in a year or so when they actually roll out LTE what types of phones will actually be available and you will be able to fully utilize.

I get 4G here in Pittsburgh, but I rarely use it. Practically never. It destroys my battery, to me it isn't worth it. Most times I run ROMs without 4G, so its a non issue for me.

I've only been in a 4g area twice and was less than impressed. If I could pay less for a plan without 4G I would do it in a heartbeat.

...& this MIUI ICS is awesome, so I don't see myself leaving it until Tommy's Supermagic is out at the earliest.

Is that Swiperrat's MIUI ICS rom?

Here in the Chicago area I have 4G most of the time and when I dont it drives me nuts. Here its like the difference between broadband and dial up. All the speed testers Ive used show 7meg or better download most of the time.

Here in the Deep Dark Gnat and Mosquito infested Swamp I live in has no 4G Maybe one day we will the only thing that really sux about that is the 10 dollars more is to pay for the 4g usage and I don't get it However when I look at other carriers I would rather pay 10 dollars more for unlimited use of the 3G then be limited throttled and overcharged for the extra megs
