If Admin here thinks locking up threads that many members participate in because of one snow-flower's perceived fear of whatever, then so be it. I will see y'all on the flip side, no reason to stay here when my expressions are locked down due to someone being butt hurt over the heat HE created.

Sad indeed. Especially when people are scared of saying anything online that are not in view with the current administration. I mean people who are here legally are being deported for things they say. People's rights are being taken away. There is no due process..... which is why I chose to lock up my threads.

The paranoia that someone is coming after us for what we think is faulty for two reasons. 1) The Gov couldn't care less what I or anyone else thinks, for that matter. and 2) If we think the government cares about us we elevate our own importance. To them the only thing we are good for is to pay taxes and vote, really.

Finally, a closed thread still can be read. Take a gooood look around.. there is no one here anymore. Only about 4 or 5 people in the ENTIRE WORLD are reading this stuff.

tell that to my friends who are here studying in college on a school visa.. why is ice visiting them in their dorm rooms?

I admin at 4 other sites and each one is different in topic and membership, but for the most part they are all in agreement of free speech.

To close a thread, because of a paranoid response from a member with delusional espousing, projects censorship from the Administration.

Yes a closed thread can still be read, but it is not open for comment and that is what most people want to do when reading sites.

Lurkers will be lurkers, helpers will be helpers, and braggers will be braggers, they all should be allowed to express their opinion on a topic until it is out of control by means other than a perceived personal threat, by a member.
