Root safe mode?

I was doing a battery swap tonight. Normal. Powered down. Swap. Re-boot. Came up in safe mode. Noted in a box in the lower left corner. Both my home screen widgets were dead. Re-booted real quick. Back to normal. Except I had to re-install both my widgets...

Anybody have any insight? If I see it again, what should I be looking for to fix?

Have never seen that here before-you didn't do anything with the buttons at all when you rebooted?
 
So your NOT in test mode anymore?

What happens when you press the # key? If it goes to the LG hidden menu then you ARE in test mode. If not then your good.

If you ARE in test mode, message me, I have the key to the golden gate. :D
 
Used to get that on zvb. After a few months i would somehow trash the rom and all apps that weren't incuded in the rom install would be gone. Havent had that problem on zvd, but i keep flashing w/e new roms that come out.

Well it seems like its happening a lot of D here lately and its happening for no reason which is strange. Idk

Test mode sucks ass, i still have nightmares over trying to fix that shit.

No. Not in safe mode anymore. Read some threads on other devices, they said safe mode loads the ROM, without any 3rd party apps. Explains my widgets, but not why. Don't think I was holding any buttons down.. But? Lol Btw, my ROM is 3rd party!

I don't think so. But to be honest I was doing it on auto pilot while I was talking to someone. I suppose I could have.... Paying attention now for sure!

Since I flashed the new ROM, I have payed real close attention to permissions and background radio use. In an effort to improve battery life. 1 widget is a clock. The other is a power toggle. Allows me to manage power use manually. Battery in at 11pm last night. Listened to mp3 all night. 7:40am now. Still at 64%. Good. I think?

Also, everything loads in safe mode as normal. Your just limited on certain things. That's why i said if you hit # and go to the hidden menu then your in test mode.

I got confused between safe and test as some people have been calling "test" mode "Safe" mode elsewhere.

So therefore Im sure your talking about something different than actual "test" mode. :D

Curious about that also-what is going on? Don't even have metrocare on my phone anymore and still received the 40000 text. 40000 hmm sounds familiar ay Fuzzy?

well it said test mode when connecting usb so thats what I have been referring to it as since lol.

No your right. I had it stuck in my head from other stuff I've seen online. But it is test mode. Showyaright

Wish I had taken a screenshot now! It didn't give me a keyboard of any type. It clearly said SAFE MODE in the lower left corner. It seems to be working fine now. Really was asking because I had never heard of it. And in hopes of finding and correcting it, before it became a bigger problem. Silly me - lol!

P.s. Nowhere near a USB connection when it occurred.
 
yeah I tried to do the first few steps with downloading all that stuff and I got lost and confused with unzipping the files.I guess I am S.O.L lol
