Root Safely Removeable Bloatware

Thank you for helping me understand, I ask questions that seem obvious because I'm a little slow, it takes different ways of an answer to help me fully understand, which is why my some or most of my questions seem like I didn't catch the answers in the response (which I didn't or didn't fully understand them). it's the only way that helps me best understand, yet also knowing that many are impatient and a bit offensive of those like me, I also try not to ask too many questions. But thank you for you're response, I used cwm to backup my original ROM before switching to the new one, but there are still a couple of apps. on the new ROM I'm using that I would like to get rid of, shouldn't be a problem removing them using titanium backup (hopefully). Also because of me using cwm to backup my custom ROM, is odin another backup system that can be used also?. I'm not going to use it I'm just asking?.

Odin isn't a backup system. It's just a different way of flashing things.

yeah at this point that you have CWM you should just forget Odin but keep it handy on your computer somewhere. At this point now that you have CWM, Odin is really like the absolute last resort to bring your phone back to life you actually manage to screw it up but even then there is no guarantee that it would work. but dont worry about that. that backup you made will be your savior. and yes TiBu will get of all the bloat you dont want just make sure to check that its safe to delete on the list here

Upon trying to delete some of the apps. on the new OA ROM I'm on using titanium backup, it won't because it keeps saying that it can't locate the apk. file, but when I search for that file using root file manager I see that it's there and when I try to delete them it then says that my phone is not rooted. What am I doing wrong and why can't titanium backup locate these files? Also when opening tiatnium backup it says that I don't have "hypershell" what is hypershell and do I really need one? I also backup the file before deleting it.

OA is pre-rooted so there shouldn't be a problem with that. And you don't have to worry about hypershell that's just something else.

yes what kage said you can do but to elaborate dont just install it like any regular app that wont work. one you put the apk into your sd card go into root explorer and grab the apk, then move it to a folde called root and change the permission by long pressing on the apk until a popup appears. scroll down to change permission and make it so that the first column of 3 boxes is checked and on the 2 column only the first box is checked. then grab the apk file and move it into the system/app path and your done. now reboot your phone and it should work. if it doesnt then you probably did something wrong.

also for any purpose purpose, all app can be found here: http://androidforums.com/admire-all-things-root/460186-samsung-admire-v2-3-4-system-dump.html in the first post and the 8th post cause some are missing within the first

sadly there is, when I try to remove those certain apps. it keeps saying that it can't locate the apk. file to remove them, the apps. I'm trying to remove are these:

facebook

email (I use gmail)

youtube (use the browser for this)

Is there something I'm doing wrong, why won't titanium backup remove these apps.? Also is it ok to remove these apps. also:

voice search

voice dialer

TTS Service

TalkBack

Talk

music visualization wallapapper

magic smoke wallpapper

HTML viewer (use dolphone browser, not sure if this is part of the old browser I removed)

Holo launcher (what is this by the way?)

Google sky map

google search (use the browser)

DSP manager

Downloads

Clock (thinking of getting a better one from the google app. store)

I would keep TTS Services and HTML viewer just in case they might need to be used for something else. Everything else is ok to toss out. As a rule of thumb, never try to delete something if you don't know what it does. Also, I don't know much about TiBu, but I use No Bloat Free to get rid of my bloatware and never have any issues. Also, might wanna keep Downloads, too, just in case, unless someone else says its safe to remove.

As for Holo Launcher, thats pretty much the GUI for the phone, its what sets the theme and icons and junk. Definitely keep it unless you have something else installed or if you enjoy FCs :P

it's in the folder /system/app. And the apk won't work if you dont also have the odex file cause it has some extra data in it

i told you download the file in the first post AND the 8th post. for some reason the first one doesnt have a few apk but the other one does so its good to have both

Not true. You can delete google talk if you want to and it wont cause you any problems.

I have heard of people being unable to access the web after deleting my metro however.
Hi...New guy here...I removed My Metro with no problems on an LG Esteem MS910...No probs...I did it with Titanium...What what be the cause of these things? I am a straight up newbie BTW...So forgive me as I take the steps to educate my self...

The only things that could be deleted is google talk, android keyboard, and gallery. And music player if you use other music players but that's all.
