Help Samsung Admire operates by itself?

I have tried searching to see if anyone else has the same issue that I have at the moment. I just bought the phone on Friday. When I put it down, it operates by itself. It's really odd. I watched it and it appears as though I am pushing the buttons, but of course, I'm not. So, I put a pw on it, plugged it up to charge and it has 1 minute before it locks up, but before it locked, it started switching screens. I'm not sure what is wrong with my phone. Has anyone had this happen with their phone? I'm so confused. I appreciate anyone's assistance.

better call ghost hunters. sounds like it could be paranormal. lol.
Just kidding better take it back metro has a very short exchange policy.

that is extremely odd and personally because of my lack of knowledge as far as remote access through android....it would scare the shit outta me i would in all seriousness assume its a ghost lol. sorry i know this doesnt help just had to post it though.

my phones done this a few times, like certian parts of the screen are super sensitive, a fart will open an app..i could hover my finger over one part of my phone and it would open up the app underneath it..but this only happened when it was charging, with a charger that didnt come with a phone, but one i bought at a mpcs store

Could always install "Ghost Radar" from the Market ;)

Lol. Thanks. I think I'll just take it back today. It's calling people unless I lock it immediately. It's driving me insane. I was hoping that it would stop. But it just keeps doing it. :-/

In all seriousness, yes, that's your best bet. Sounds like the touch screen is pretty hosed up. Best of luck!

Your screen is faulty, take it back.

I recently started working with a metro store an have seen 9-10 phones from 3 manufacturers do this,
The huaweis ascend and m835, the Samsung admire, and the LG optimus m all have super sensitive screens and go nuts sometimes.

As a matter of fact you can navigate a huawei m835 and some optimus' by gently blowing on the screen if its cold around you.

When the admire is charged some of them leak a tiny bit of power where the USB meets the board, it gets discharged onto the digitizer (display) and through to the screen.

As for being able to hover your finger just over the screen, that's the same deal as blowing on an m835. The temperature difference activates the scree.
