Samsung admire

That's what kept happening to me. And besides it's not really too good, with the screen animations issue or the blue keys not lighting up.

Back to topic though, has anyone gotten the Admire? Does it run better than the LG?
 
My ol lady just got the Admire. I have had terrible experiences with Samsung devices in the past (and zero bad experiences with LG devices), but they might have done some good with the Admire. It does feel snappier than my Optimus M (rooted, Sense ROM, running overclock kernel and stable at 748MHz) but I ain't been able to see what it can REALLY do because it's still new to the market and nobody has come up with a way to root it yet. There is a dev on here workin on a solution, last I read he/they were stuck with a signature verification issue.

As far as comparison to a stock Optimus 2.2 or 2.2.1, it's faster. A 2.2.2 Optimus wouldn't stand a chance since it can't even run for an hour without a reboot. When she went to pick out a phone, she chose the Optimus M, then took it back due to the issues and got the Admire. A rooted Optimus on 2.2.1 (mine) can hold it's own against it. Display quality is about the same between the two, and call quality is the same also. Graphics I ain't really had a chance to test out yet, Angry Birds gets a bit laggy on mine, will try it on hers. Ain't had much of a chance to mess with it yet, she won't let go of the damn thing, since upgrading from a not-so-smart phone :-)

admire started out cheaper than the optimus therefore it will soon be 79 dollars and that is when i will purchase it. my buddy has the admire and so i have had the opportunity to play around and have now even rooted it for him and honestly if i had the extra cash i would have it myself right now but i will never part with my optimus so i have no problem waiting for a price drop

Yes I think I may get it also - esp. if price drops (tho I love my Optimus) and it has bit bigger screen. My boyfriend has it and really likes it. Are there any Roms for it yet?
 
no roms yet, working on custom recovery.

it;s nice having a larger screen and it runs better than the optimus. mine is rooted and bloat removed. will post antutu and quadrant benches in a minute

its amazing how fast it got rooted, but then more popular phones do.

oh as a btw do you know what architect that cpu has? I have been looking for a bit and am not finding much.
Also does it have official adobe flash support?

If you are getting force closes @ set up its because you are trying to flash to cm7 from an a2sd rom such as sense . Try flashing team chicken eater first then flash cm7.


New optimus... Admire supports flash and even comes with the movies tab in the market.
