Hello all. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Lee, and I used to own a Droid X (this is the part where the whole room says "Hi Lee") I just got my Fascinate yesterday, and take it from someone who uses their phone VERY often... you don't know problems until you've had an X. A 1Ghz device that A) Can't draw a lock screen where the slider doesn't lag. B) Can't thread text messages...even though we're 5 years past that particular innovation. C) Not only needs almost weekly factory resets, but has a specific voodoo ritual that must be followed for a FR to even help... I'll give you a hint: if you aren't naked, and it's not a full moon, and you're not covered in the blood of a unicorn, it isn't going to work. Sure I've found some quirks with the Fascinate, like the laggy app drawer, but I add an app to a screen maybe weekly. I unlock my phone a hundred times a day.
I'm pretty good with technology. Not bake a ROM good, but good. I hope I can contribute, and if everyone could avoid using the letter X in their posts, I'll try not to have a PTSD attack in the forums

as a fellow former DXer im glad to see you join us, but sorry to hear about your problems with your x...honestly my x was fine but my issues with motorola philosophically lead me to ditch it.

. I had a Droid X (sorry, couldn't avoid it) for about two weeks and switched to the Fascinate. Never looked back. While mine didn't have many problems as yours, I think the Fascinate is a better phone overall. This community here is very helpful, check out the Fascinate forums in their entirety and you can find tweaks to help get it running just the way you want it to.
