Help Samsung Galaxy Note Cannot Take High Resolution Pictures

Lurker
Hi,

Can someone advise.
As you all know, Samsung Galaxy note has build in 8MB back camera.
but mine is unable to take high resolution photo.
The size of picture file is only up to 300KB.
Not sure what was the root caused.
I have checked all settings, it seems fine.
I have uninstalled all camera applications but still doesn't work.
Previously I was able to take very high resolution pictures. The file was up to 3MB.
My Android kernel version is 2.6.35.7

Thanks in advance..

Regards,
Agus

Did you apply the proper settings:

Press settings icon in the camera menu>Resolution (set to 8MP)

Also settings>Image Quality (set to Superfine)

This is very interesting, but my camera menu does not have Resolution Setting.
I search on the net and found actually It supposes have that setting:

gsmarena_072.jpg

But mine is missing as you can see here:

Can someone advise how to make the Resolution setting appear without Hard Reset?

thanks,
Agus
