Help Samsung Galaxy S - Indian thread

Does anyone have any idea why this happened? I do not have many applications on board except the GPS, Yahoo mail and compass. Last night I also removed the Task Cutter and installed APNDroid before putting the phone on charge.

Since factory reset has solve the problem, it might be related to any rogue app. Did you installed any task cleaner? I had this problem before with a task cleaner. I removed it and this problem never happened after that.

for BSNL gprs you can search on internet. As far as i know BSNL has different settings for different circles (areas). Just search for ur area (e.g north-east).

Hey guys, i have few questions:--
1.) Neone knows which market enabler we have to use on sgs? I have tried "eris market enabler". bt its not working.
2.) Also which setting in your perpective increases the battery life:--
zero screen brightness
or
Automatic screen brightness.
3.) Has neone tried overcloking clock speed by using "set CPU"?
 
Guys i have been following this thread for a a long time and i have got some great info from all of you, i wanted to know how to remove ebooks from Stock Aldiko Ebook application the one that is pre installed in Samsung Galaxy S, also how do i remove that app and use the one donwloaded from market?

My Phone is rooted..

To delete any book:-- switch to list view and hold your finger on the book you want to delete. popup menu will show u option to delete the book.
You can go to /system/app/ using root explorer and delete the file releated to aldiko. But be carefull to not delete any other file or u ll have to flash the firmware again.
Try downloading aldiko app from the market without removing the pre installed. If it allows you then no need to delete the pre installed one.

thanks man it worked the list view solved my problem, the market apps looks so much better, and aldiko site mentions nothing abt list view, i wonder why samsung went with limited or old version. I think i will stick to pre-installed app solves my purpose.

I am new to this forum and bought a Galaxy S last friday....So far this thread has been a great resource for information on SGS...Really appreciate the efforts of the members :)

I am facing stiff problems with my bluetooth...I am not able to send any files to others over bluetooth...One of the observations I have is that it works for files lesser than approx 2 MB whereas for files larger than 2 MB, there is a error on my phone 'The reciever has rejected the request' (Not in the exact words though) :( and the error on the other phone happens to be 'Operation failed'

One more problem I noticed is with the Youtube app...if I pause the video in the middle to let it stream and then unpause it, the video won't play....seeking forward or backward won't help either :(

Has anyone come across these problems?? My SGS is still running on the stock Eclair 2.1 that it came with. Haven't played much with rooting/flashing. Any help/info will be greatly appreciated :D

I live in mumbai and I'm planning to buy this phone, but I have a few questions. I would appreciate any help.
1) has anyone here found a good screen guard accessible here or maybe online from hk with cheap/free shipping.
2) similarly for an open face case
3) is there a way to buy paid apps via the app store?
4) any suggestions for a good place to buy it cheap in mumbai :p
