1.) u get scratchguard screen protectors for 399/- at almost any good mobile phone store.
2.) no idea
3.) yes via google checkout. But u need to be rooted and must have MarketEnabler installed and run.
4.) Alfa?
 
Does the scratchguard reduce the screen sensitivity any bit?
I've had all previous bad experiences with skins. So using the SGS naked now!

Bluetooth is working fine for me. first Try pairing with the device to which you want to send the files. Never had this problem even once:rolleyes:.
Also check if the receiver phone has enough memory to accept files more than 2mb. Try with some more different devices( pair with them first).

Youtube is working fine for me. I tried forwarding, rewinding, pause,resume. its working gud. I am on JM2( rooted).

Nope. capacitive screen doesnt affected by the screenguard AFAIK. I am using screenguard of nexus one:D. It covers my whole screen and thats enough for me.

Isnt SGS screen is scratch resistance?

Scratchguards have screen protectors made especially for the SGS. It covers the whole of front face except the Home ( Center button ).

I'd rather have a screen guard on than leave the screen exposed.

I bought that. Perfect fit. There's an opening for the Home button and one for the earpiece. Screen sensitivity is just as before. Paid 5 USD through Paypal (the package contains 5 pieces, major steal :) ), free shipping, arrived in 1.5 weeks (to Bangalore).

1) scratchgard is available for Rs. 280 from Alfa
2) Open cases are currently not available in India
3) No idea
4) 'Zoop'.. its just outside Charni road station.. 27.5k abt 3 weeks back.. may have reduced..
 
Flashed JG8 yesterday night. Its better than JM2. More stable and snappier.
Also the contact bug is fixed in this ROM.
 
Has anyone tried the "gps.conf" fix for GPS. I have changed it to "india". Now i am able to get satellite lock in 8-9 seconds (cold start). Its only for root users though.
 
I don't have a working GPRS connection on my phone.. So guess it wouldn't make any difference to me!

So this fix works only when GPRS in on? I tried without GPRS on, and still the lock was immediate and stable. Dnt knw if its stable due to ROM or this fix.

To use the other party's image, tap and hold the other party's image. You can capture an image of the screen or record the video call.
 
Guys neone knows if there is a way to revert the mimocan's lagfix?
Also can we revert back the custom kernel installed?
Please tell me as i want to try and apply ths fix?
 
Hi All, Got my new SGS, works awesome, updated to froyo JM3, it has lagging problems and the main concern i have is Flash dont work, can someone help me with that.
 
Hi Friends, I am planning to buy this awesome phone, but please help me with this query. I am a heavy sms user and forward my messages to many friends at one time. My existing Samsung phones do not allow to forward messages to more than 10 phone at one time... is it possible to forward messages, at one go, to may be 100 phone numbers at one time? (similar to most nokia devices). Please help as this is an important aspect for me before buying the phone..... Thanks in advance

I also dont like the pre-installed message app for above reason. Damn you samsung. Its such a basic thing.
BTW You can use third party app from the market. I am using "chomp SMS" and it works fine. You can also use handcent app. Both works beautifully. You can send sms to more than 10 numbers.But the only gripe is that both app doesnt recognize "Default number" from the contacts. So you will have to assign default or primary numbers as "Mobile" tag. Then use "Use mobile number only" options in the settings of both app.

PS:- I havent tried sending sms to 100 numbers at a time(wow do you work in All india radio :p)
